Events
Assist a member of the special events team with planning, implementing and coordinating one or several of our fundraising special events. Events are held throughout the year and provide the much needed financial support to further the mission of the Alzheimer's Association.
Patient Care & Family Support
The Patient Care & Family Support Department is dedicated to providing resources, support and clinical consultation to patients, families and professionals who are living and coping with Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia. There are a host of volunteer opportunities available to support this department:
Office Support
Bring yourself or a friend and assist our office manager, database manager and receptionist with various duties within the office such as mailings, copying, filing and packet making.
Eduational Programs
Assist staff with registration and other aspects of educational programs.
Student Internship
Learn more about non-profit management with a hands-on internship with the Alzheimer's Association. This position is unpaid but offers a valuable learning experience for any college student looking to work in the non-profit sector when he/she graduates.
Health Fairs
Promote community awareness and education by representing the Alzheimer's Association at health fairs and exhibit tables at conferences. Distribute information and answer basic questions about chapter services.
Chapter Advocate
Assist the Manager, Advocacy and Community Relations with managing public policy table at special events, health fairs, etc. Create and work with others on ways to include people we serve in setting our public policy goals.
IT
Supporting our IT Manager in areas that range from assisting with our office relocation, producing/updating IT documentation, computer hardware/software installation, researching new technologies for a business environment, IT training for staff, manage a specific IT project or providing expertise in areas of IT at a consultant level.
Other
There are many other volunteer opportunities with the Alzheimer's Association. If you have a specific skill like computers, graphic design or are bi-lingual, we will work to accommodate your skill set with a specific volunteer position within the organization.
