Our vision is a world without Alzheimer's

StoryCorps Memory Loss Initiative

StoryCorps is an independent nonprofit project whose mission is to honor and celebrate one another’s lives through listening. StoryCorps is one of the largest oral history projects of its kind, and millions listen to their weekly broadcasts on NPR’s Morning Edition.

In 2006, StoryCorps launched an initiative to reach out to people affected by memory loss. The Alzheimer's Association, Massachusetts/New Hampshire Chapter is proud to have collaborated with StoryCorps as a community partner in their Memory Loss Initiative. For several days in 2008, they recorded the stories of caregivers and those living with dementia here in our Watertown office. Below are a couple of short exerpts from interviews that they conducted. For more information on StoryCorps, visit them on-line at www.storycorps.org.

Produced by the Alzheimer's Association, MA/NH Chapter, with interviews recorded by StoryCorps, a national nonprofit dedicated to recording and collecting stories of everyday people. www.storycorps.org.
