The Lake
It seemed like only yesterday we walked your hand in mine
Along the lakefront shoreline, you’d always be my bride
We made our love our labor, right at the good old lake
Our promise to each other, one we wouldn’t break
As time just seem to pass us by, each memory we’d make
I learned to love you more and more with nothing to forsake
I knew that we’d be happy with every breath that we\'d each take
Sitting on our front porch right at the good old lake
Life always seems to go so slow, when all we want is fast
Until one day it happens and somehow we can’t go back
We made our life, our family and our precious home
Lets hold on to forever , and never let it go
Our legacy’s our truth, the story of you and me
I never meant to leave so soon but it was meant to be
You‘ve always been my angel, the one, my heart, my soul
And on this blessed path of life it will always bring us home
Right on the lake where we belong, where we will never part
Back to where we started, together our two hearts
We will make more memories, eternal they will be
I loved you my whole lifetime, I’m glad that god choose me
