Alzheimer

A garrote of wood and string
widened the passage into sin
The pressure was so unrelenting
that fibers enmeshed within skin

Suffocating beneath weightiness
death destabilized a heart
Alzheimer perverted cleverness
echoed anguish as he depart

Life stretched past nonetheless
‘til his body at last realize
he had a final metamorphosis
when the mind ceded to demise

Likeness of him no longer survive
nil was familiarly exact
which, is verbalism for all alive
reflected darkness as they retract

 

Hope vanished before tomorrow
which, is vocalism for vulnerability
laid in bed with every sorrow
& pitted guilt against gullibility

Regurgitated fiery anger
like unrequited love
landmarked pitiable danger
in misused woman risen above

Negligence pilfered from children
the grandest puppeteer was malice
that deprived puppets a safe haven
Spite drank from a cynical chalice

Confession endured for a fortnight
conflict, further than the quest
You see, triumph was merely Pyrrhic
remembrance battling forgetfulness

Encased in thrice calloused spirit
like spiraling roads on unsalted
New England low, high and byways, the
encroachment of death was chaotic

His mind became a decayed abyss
where parasites bade maggots to dine
The pustule burst as a ghastly hiss
was suppressed by imbibed wine

 

People ogled when they heard
the force to in and exhale
With intent to bellow his dirge
Alzheimer’ calm consumed the gale
