Click here for directions to the conference. Please join us for our annual conference for professionals who work with people with Alzheimer's disease (AD) and other dementias, and their families. Whether you work in an assisted living facility, nursing home, community based program, hospital or are self-employed, or are new to the field or an expert, this conference offers you the best and most interesting of topics and presenters. Our expert keynote panel will provide an update on current and cutting edge research developments and how these may impact the field of dementia care. Do We Have a Map for the Road Ahead? Current Research and Its Potential Impact on Dementia Care will discuss the following questions: Will a more focused pre-symptomatic approach to research mean earlier diagnosis and treatment? Plaques or tangles? What can we say about the impact of a heart-healthy lifestyle or brain stimulating activities? In 2012, are there reasons for hope? You can also submit your own question for our panel to discuss, by following the link below. Then choose from 40 breakout sessions, covering a wide range of topics. You will come away with new ideas for care, management and treatment. The day includes an Exhibitor's Fair and Poster Session. Approximately 700 professionals will attend. We hope you will be among them. Our registration form can be filled out on-line and printed. Follow the link below to access it. Please refer to the 2011 brochure for the full listing of breakout sessions. Please note - Workshop #28, “Someone Stole my Diamond Bracelet…” has been cancelled.
