Our vision is a world without Alzheimer's Change Location

We are no longer accepting new proposals for breakout sessions for this conference.

The conference provides professionals the opportunity to hear from experts, current and comprehensive information on the diagnosis, treatment, care and support of individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.  Over 700 nurses, social workers, mental health clinicians, administrators, activity professionals, clergy and other professionals regularly attend.

We select breakout sessions based on a consideration of balance and variety of topics and speakers, evaluation results, suggestions from past conferences, and relevance to our audience. There are many attendees who return year after year, as well as people who are new to the field. If you have presented in the past, consider submitting a proposal on a new topic or repeat a topic updated with the latest research or clinical information. The deadline for submissions has been extended.  Please submit your proposal for consideration as soon as possible.  Sessions are currently being confirmed.  Although we do not offer breakout presenters honoraria, accommodations or travel expenses, presenters are welcome to attend other sessions and enjoy the lunch and reception.

Presenters’ session proposal materials will be used for the conference brochure, syllabus and applications for continuing education credit. Proposals will be acknowledged as received. Presenters will be contacted if conference planners want to substantially edit the session title, objective and descriptive paragraph. If a proposal for a breakout session is accepted, the presenter will receive an e-mail confirmation along with a form requesting, among other things, AV requirements. Copies of the Map through the Maze brochure will be sent to each presenter.

To propose a Breakout Session:

  • Please complete the Session Proposal Form.

  • Please have each additional presenter complete a Presenter Form.

  • We need a CV from every presenter.

  • Each presenter must sign a conflict of interest statement. Please sign and return this form by fax or mail. If you already signed this form for us in the past, we do not need an additional copy.

Other Information for Presenters:

Multimedia Equipment - Although we can supply them, it is very helpful if you are able to bring your own LCD projector, if wanted. We are unable to supply laptops. If you are bringing your own projector and laptop we can provide electrical outlets, carts and screens with advance notice.
