Are you homebound or can't find a group near you? The Alzheimer's Association offers a telephone support group. The group meets using a free teleconferencing service. No equipment is required. For more information contact:

Sometimes groups in surrounding states are more readily accessible than groups in a nearby county. Please check the Massachusetts listing for caregiver groups in boarder towns. Also, for individuals looking for groups that focus on a particular stage or a related dementia, here are a few alternative options:

Northern Vermont Youngy Onset Dementia Support Group: Meets the 2nd Tuesday evening of the month in Shelburne, VT. The group is for people under 65 with a diagnosis of dementia and their partner. Contact: Rachel Cummings, 802.288.8117 or Kathi Monteith, 802.985.8600.

Portland Area Atypical-Parkinson’s Support Group: Meets quarterly at the Parkinson's Information & Referral Center in Falmouth, ME. This group is for people and families dealing with LBD, PSP, CBD, MSA and other similar neurological diseases.
