What to expect as a Memory Ride VolunteerVolunteers

By July 6, 2012, you will receive an email confirmation from the Alzheimer’s Association or your Volunteer Captain providing specific Ride-day information. If you have any additional questions in the meantime, please feel free to reach out to Memory Ride Director, Angela Floro, at angela.floro@alz.org.

Depending on your volunteer job, you will either be checking in at Devens Museum Field, where the start/finish of the Memory Ride is held, or at a Pit Stop along the Memory Ride Route.

Museum Field Volunteers

  • Please plan to arrive at 15 minutes prior to the start of your shift to make sure you have plenty of time to park, register, and get settled. Click here for directions and parking information.

  • Proceed to the volunteer registration tent. A volunteer captain will be available to check you in, give you your volunteer t-shirt, and provide any last-minute instructions.

  • Food will be provided! A light breakfast, coffee, and beverages will be provided at Museum Field throughout the morning, and afternoon volunteers will enjoy a BBQ lunch after their shift.

Pit Stop Volunteers

  • Pit Stop volunteers will travel directly to their assigned Pit Stop and check in with their Volunteer Captain. The 2012 Pit Stops are under construction and will be available shortly. An official Memory Ride volunteer t-shirt will be provided for you to wear.

  • Food will be provided! Volunteers scheduled to work during lunch hours will be provided a meal at their Pit Stop. All volunteers are welcome back to Devens Museum Field after their shift to enjoy a BBQ lunch and cheer on our riders!
